City Rising

This three-dimensional landscape is an “electri-city” with sparks of energy and light emerging from darkness. As friends described it, they saw different meanings: whether the city is being reborn from darkness, volcanic, apocalyptic — or electric with the energy and excitement of a new day or the city that lives only at night. This is part of a Dremel series, where areas were carved into wood with a Dremel and accented with paint to form crevices flowing through. A companion piece is on the future projects list.
