Purple Light

Thickly painted impasto paint in yellows and reds seems to dance against the purple on this wooden piece. Shimmering flows of light are stencil painted to convey the feeling of a pond of purple water, shimmering from the glow of light bouncing to the surface. It is a meditative and spontaneous piece: “Once I started painting the wooden board, the painting just emerged on its own.”
